General Information About The Club:

The Hou-Texins Amateur Radio Club is affiliated with the Hou-Texins Association, a non-profit corporation. Membership in the club is limited to Texas Instruments, Inc. employees and retirees. If you are interested in Amateur Radio and would like to discuss membership, please contact one of the club officers listed above. The club prior to March 7, 1997, was licensed as WB5LIN. On March 7th, we received the call, W5TI. The clubroom is located in the space frame of the Stafford, Texas Instruments building #1. This is a photo of Lawson, N5ATT at the controls of the old WB5LIN equipment. And here is a photo of Bob, W5XC at the controls of the new W5TI station. Our HF antenna is located on the roof of the TI Bldg 1, at a height of about 60 feet. Look for Bob's new white GMC van running around Stafford & Richmond with the W5TI license plate proudly displayed.

The sudden passing of Jim in January 2001 saddened us all. We will miss Jim's smiling face at our radio club meetings and especially at field days. KE5HP/SK
