This site is devoted to the research and preservation of the genealogical history of
Henry W. Hill and Irene Elizabeth Daniel, and dedicated to fostering contact among their descendants. The
Hill-Daniel Family Page is maintained by Vivian Peters.Primary credit for the historical research of our ancestors must go to
Frances Hill Watts, our family's official historian. Aunt Frances has, for the past 25 or so years, spent countless hours in county courthouses and libraries, trying to decipher census records and land books and wills. She has done the graveyard 'stomp' numerous times, and has been known to call or visit people with a particular surname living in a particular area to gather oral descriptions and rememberances. Aunt Frances also always had the camera ready and she has assembled a goldmine of photos from every imaginable kind of family gathering -- from reunions to Christmas to summer vacations. Many of her collection are included in H.W. & Irene's Family Album. Many thanks also to
James Hill and Dorothy Hill Wallace because they were also "shutterbugs" and have provided many wonderful pictures.Much valuable genealogical research has been contributed by fellow family historians
Douglas D. Hill and Janice Rhinehart Golden. Many of the recollections included in H.W. & Irene's Family Album are taken from a family history written by
Glenn B. "Wid" Hill for the 13th Annual Hill Reunion in 1969.Send E-mail to
