1890 Herbert L. Gawthorne was born on August 17, 1890 and baptized on September 17, 1890.    His parents were Herbert Ernest Gawthorne, Clerk, Killick, Nixon and Co., and Amelia Adelaide Gawthorne of Pavel.    He was baptized in the Church of St. Mary the Virgin, Pavel, by R. W. Evans.(N/3/64/395)

1897 Charles Gawthorne, full, bachelor, clerk, Killick & Nixon, married Agnes Grace Poyntz, full, spinster on February 6, 1897.    Charles was from Colaba and Agnes from Mazagon. Their fathers were Edward Gawthorne and John Poyntz, (b.1835 d. 1887).    The witnesses were C. E. Howard, W. S. Shepherd and A. E. Gawthorne.    The wedding took place after banns at St Peters Church, Mazagon and was conducted by J. W. Biscor. (N/3/77/300)

1898 Leslie Everard Gawthorne was born on Jan 30 1898 and baptized on march 12 1898.    His parents were Charles and Agnes Grace Gawthorne of Bombay.    He was baptized in St. Thomas's Cathedral by S. Leigh Lye, Chaplain. (N/3/79/114)
