Monique Diane Kirkland Hodgson was born in Houston, Texas, on February 12, 1965. She went to be with her Lord on January 9, 2005. She loved to work, and she started her own business which she ran until the end of her life. She lived her life to the fullest, and she loved her Lord. She was a member of Heights Baptist Church*.
She is survived by her son, John Gerald Hodgson and his wife, Jennifer; her daughter, Erica Lynn Bird; her grandson, John Davin Hodgson . . . and her parents, Nell and Harvey Shimek, Earl and Karen Kirkland; grandparents, Earl Kirkland, Sr., Theo and Tot Ratliff . . . and her brothers, Earl D. Kirkland, III, Chance Kirkland, and Arnold Lee Shimek and wife, Pam . . . and her sister, Debra Sue Hermis and husband, Joe . . . and many loving nieces, nephews, and good friends.
