TexSTOC 2001

Bandera, Texas

Introduction

TexSTOC (Texas ST Owners Club) 2001 was held in Bandera, Texas, Friday September 28 through Sunday September 30, 2001. Unlike last years event, the weather could not have been better with sunny skies and mild autumn temperatures. Rides took place throughout the scenic Hill Country of central Texas where a great time was had by all. As usual, the Chief "Disorganizer" of the event, Keith Quiqley did an outstanding job and came up with a great looking design for the T-shirts to commemorate the event. Ed and Charlotte Winters, were gracious enough to host a cookout for everybody Friday evening at their travel trailer next to the group headquarters. At Saturday night's farewell supper, Marc Neuman managed to collect over $500 from the group for a donation to the American Red Cross to help in disaster relief for the New York City terrorist attack.

Go to the links below to see pictures of our three days in the Hill Country. These pictures were taken by myself, Woody McPike and Ken Buffington. Because we were basically blasting through the Hill Country like a pack of scalded dogs, we didn't stop very often to take pictures. As a result I have taken the license to throw a couple of pictures in the bunch that are from an earlier, more relaxed trip.

Not wanting to stop riding after just three days, a group of three of us, myself included, continued on to Big Bend National Park and Ft. Davis, Texas. Pictures of that trip can be seen at this link... TexSTOC PRIME.
