The Devil's River
by
Louis F. Aulbach

Emerging from the stream-bed gravels near Juno, the spring-fed Devil's River flows over limestones ledges and through deep, fish-filled pools until its confluence with Lake Amistad. This guide provides a mile by mile description of the river, the rapids and the natural environment for the 35 miles from Baker's Crossing, the site of Camp Hudson, past the Devil's River State Natural Area to Lake Amistad.
