In order to square dance one needs to know their right from their left, be able to pay attention, follow instructions, and walk an average pace. 

$35 per person for the 3 day session.

Once you become practiced and familiar with the movements, there are dances most any night of the week in Harris County Churches and Community Centers, so you can find a dance to fit your schedule.  You can also find Square Dances to attend while visiting other Cities, States and Countries.  We have danced with people from many backgrounds and countries, even people who have been in outer space.  Which two people who went to Space in a shuttle used to Square Dance at Rice University?  How many people, from how many countries will attend the National Square Dance Convention just for fun?  What is our link?  We are having fun, getting exercise and know how to Grand Square, Do-Si-Do, and many other Square Dance calls.


An average square dance may contain health benefits similar to a few mile jog. Calories - Dancing can burn as many calories as walking, swimming or riding a bicycle. During a half-hour of dancing you can burn between 200 and 400 calories. Cardiovascular Conditioning - Regular exercise can lead to a slower heart rate, lower blood pressure
and improved cholesterol profile.
