Guessing that Ambrose Jr. was born after his father arrived in Isle of Wight in 1637 and that he was about 22 when his second son was born. He signed a will on 27 Mar 1672 in Isle of Wight, VA.51 Ambrose left his "howse & Land & orchard, whereon I live, the said land to be for the use of my said sonne immediately, after / my decease, my Wifes, Widdowe hood, onely excepted" to his son Ambrose. He gave him a cow and calf immediately after his decease. He gave son John Proctor two cows and son William Proctor one cow. He also gave his godson, Charles Bickett, the first cos calf that "has fallen."
The will was witnessed by John Davis, George Bell, and John Crofts. He died about 9 Jan 1673.51 Ambrose's will was proven by John Davis and John Crofts in the Isle of Wight County Court 9 January 1672 (old style). An Ambrose Procter, likely the father of Ambrose, was brought into Isle of Wight by Nathaniel Floyd in 1637.

He died about 9 Aug 1710 in Isle of Wight, VA.1209 He signed a will about Aug 1710 in Isle of Wight, VA.1209 John Procter bequeathed his stock and land to his wife Elizabeth during her widowhood. Then it was to be equally divided among his children, except he bequeathed one cow and calf to Edward Cockerell when he comes of age. He asked that his "brothr Robt Little to bear assistance to my wife in giving my Children to theire mothr." His will was witnessed by Thomas Moore, Thomas Manes, and Edward E. The next year it was Jno Little, Edward Cockrill, Wm Procter & John Askew. In 1689 and 1690 it was just Jno Little & Wm Procter. In 1691 William was listed separately and just before John Little.
