We have an 1850 census record for Gray indicating he was born about 1803. Since Blake is listed first in all records, it is likely that he is the oldest child so I am guessing that he was born a couple of years earlier.
Ancestral File provides his date of birth as 13 Dec 1793. Another Ancestral File entry has it as 1792. [NEED TO DEFINE SENTENCE: moved]701 He was elected as representative in the House between 1839 and 1841 in Sumter Co. Christopher Columbus "Lum" LITTLE was born on 21 Oct 1890 in Williamson Co. IL.391 He died on 18 Jul 1970. He was also known as Lum. He was buried in Union Ridge, Sebastian Co. AR. His reference number is J4.9. Lum's son Carl remembers that Lum and John B. Little were very close. Lum was baptized into John B.'s church. And while Lum lived away from the area, they corresponded often. Lum and Susie farmed in Serb. and Scott Counties, working part of the time for John B. Little, budding and grafting fruit trees for Stark Bros. Nursery. Lum also did some barbering. For a while they lived in OK and in CA, moving back to AR by 1946. Lum's formal education was slight (he mentioned that Bertha Presson was one of his teachers) but he was an avid reader -- and writer. At least, he was a frequent contributor to the Letters to the Editor of the Arkansas Gazette expressing his view, particularly on political issues. Lum got letters from readers across the state which led to correspondence with them. At times he sent copies of this letters to Senator Bill Fullbright and received replies of approval. When Lum died the Gazette had a special obituary on the Letters to Editor page.

The funeral services for both were held at the Little Flock Baptist Church where J. B. had been pastor. He was buried in Coop Prairie Cem., Mansfield AR.684 Named for a Baptist preacher.

Curtis Olan LITTLE was born on 26 Sep 1905 in Oklahoma Territory.723 He died in Jul 1994 in Little Rock AR.608 Curtis died shortly after the family reunion. Though he had not been able to attend the reunion for a few years, he always looked forward to the various members of the family coming by the nursing home to visit him when they were on their way to or from the reunion. Curtis had a brain tumor several years before his death and he had some difficulty with his balance. He also had macular degeneration and was unable to read in the last few years of his life. While he was in a nursing home for about 5 years, he never seemed to lose his sense of humor. Parents: William Alfred LITTLE and Montezella LEWIS.
