On the Church genforum, I found one researcher who claims Elizabeth, dau of Benjamin Church and Alice Southworth, married John Sampson 11 Sep 1717. Charles COBURN was born between 1800 and 1810 in Anson Co. NC. Guessing that Charles is a child of Elijah and Jane based on his buying property at the sale of Elijah's estate, the fact that he is not listed as an heir of Headley, and there is no other logical parent for him in Lauderdale. He, of course, could be a nephew of both Elijah and Headley, but for now, I am placing him here.
