Puerto Vallarta
San Sebstian Jeep Tour

Tell our Leaders how you feel about issues

My wife and I have have a timeshare in Puerto Vallarta and go there often. It is a pristine setting. I can see why Burton, Taylor and Huston fell in love with this place. The town is spread along a highway that circumvents the Bay of Banderas (Bahia de Banderas) which is the 7th largest bay in the world and the 2nd deepest in the world. The cliffs at the south end of the beach drop straight down to 4,200 ft and the panorama creates spectacular photos. Imagine a horseshoe that opens up to a sheltered bay and had 4,000 ft mountains behind it. Seabreezes are fairly constant. Wonderful daily temperatures. Averages 73 degrees in January and 88 degrees in August. The high season for tourism is from November to April. And do the snow-birds go there! Have met lots of Canadians and Europeans. The food and water is great. The people are so friendly that you absolutely don't want to leave. (they have not developed an attitude like the people at other Mexican resorts). I don't know of the proper word to describe Vallarta other than "quaint". The population is 300,000 and that's small compared to Guadalajara which is 8,000,000 and 4 hours by toll-way. I have many pictures but only published a few. If you would like to see more, I would be glad to share them with you. If you have a timeshare and would like to trade a week with us in another tropical setting like Hawaii or Bahamas, please let us know. Costa Rica is highly desirable.

Enjoy the pictures and if you need additional information such as good eating places or the best tour guides (Pacific Travel's Martha L.Gonzalez Plazola ), please feel free to ask. We have done all the land and water tours in the last 4 years and know them all. Vallarta is voluptuous and waits for you.

Guadalajara and Tlaquepacque
Las Caletas and Los Tules

Pictures are as of early June, 1999. We went with Martha on the San Sebastian Jeep Tour and it was just her and her asst. and Carri and myself. We climbed to the top of the 4,000 ft mountains of the Sierra Madre and spent a day and had lunch, toured and relaxed. $65.00 apiece for a private tour. That is too cool.
