The HTTA has found a new location and
will be moving on Saturday, November 1, 2003.
While this
location is not perfect and will require some improvements it is the BEST choice
we have for a long-term place to play.
The new facility is at: 11109 BELLAIRE
BLVD. Houston, TX 77072. This is at the intersection of Bellaire Blvd. and Boone
Road – across Boone from the Hong Kong Market shopping center. It is in the
middle section of the “L” shaped strip center mall.
THE GOOD:
1. We will be able to stay here for 3
YEARS!
2. It will be our own place – we don’t
have to share.
3. We can set our own time and days we
want to be open.
4. The location is more convenient to most
of our members than any other location that was available.
THE BAD:
1.
The facility is
reasonably playable now but needs cleaning, painting and some additional
improvements to make it more acceptable.
2.
It is 30’ wide by
170’ long so it will seem tight by comparison to where we have been playing. It
does have a high ceiling and good lighting. The playing courts will be somewhat
smaller – you won’t lose many balls!
3.
It has a concrete
floor. We are still trying to figure out the best way to improve the
floor.
4.
We will have to pay
for air conditioning units to be installed.
We will move the tables Saturday,
November 1, 2003 beginning at 10:00 AM. Anyone able to help with the tables please be
at Spike Sport at 10am Sat.
We begin play on Saturday, November 1
at 1:00PM.
The playing times and all membership
rates will remain the same as we will evaluate our financial responsibilities
over the first 2 months.
